2. Overview
This website is purely informational. There is no registration, no contact form, no comment function, no analytics or tracking tools and no advertising. Fonts, scripts and icons are delivered from this domain itself; your browser does not connect to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts or CDN servers) for them.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (provider: GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open a page, the provider processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, date and time of the request, the requested page, browser and operating system information, and the previously visited page (referrer). This serves delivering the website and keeping it secure and stable.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation). I do not store or evaluate this data myself. Retention is determined by the hosting provider.
As the provider is based in the USA, personal data may be transferred to the USA. Where the provider is certified accordingly, the basis is the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework); otherwise standard contractual clauses apply.
4. Cookies and local storage in your browser
This website only stores settings that you choose yourself or that are needed for display:
- Cookie "i18n_redirected": stores your language choice (de or en). Lifetime: up to 365 days.
- Cookie and local-storage entry "nuxt-color-mode": store your choice of light or dark colour scheme. The cookie lasts until you close the browser; the local-storage entry until you delete it.
This data contains no personal information, is not used for tracking or advertising and is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (necessary for the display you explicitly requested) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Consent is therefore not required. You can delete cookies and stored data in your browser at any time.
5. Contact by email
If you email me, I process your email address and the content of your message to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). I delete your data once the request is settled and no statutory retention duties apply. My mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail).

This website links to external sites (e.g. LinkedIn, GitHub). Merely visiting this website transmits no data to those providers; their privacy policies apply only once you click a link.
